SEPTEMBER 19 | NEW YORK CITY Return on Investment: How to Maximize Historic U.S. Climate Funding
About the Event
The Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act together have the potential to catalyze unprecedented investments in an advanced, clean economy—creating millions of good-paying jobs, reducing energy costs, strengthening U.S. competitiveness, and closing opportunity gaps for disadvantaged communities. These two landmark laws are already delivering results, with thousands of new jobs and billions of dollars in new investments in states across the country. Corporate and investor engagement remains critical to unlock their full potential and advance more action to reach the U.S. goal of cutting emissions in half by 2030.
In this session, participants will:
Discuss how public and private sector action can maximize the return on the landmark investments in the Inflation Reduction Act, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and other federal climate legislation.
Identify opportunities for corporate and investor engagement to ensure successful implementation of federal climate legislation.
Evaluate strategies for companies and investors to educate suppliers, customers, employees, and policymakers on how federal climate legislation benefits communities in the shift to a clean energy future.
