FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
TECH SUPPORT FAQS
➤ Facing technical difficulties?
Contact 617-247-0700 for live assistance, email conference@ceres.org.
➤ How can I make sure my computer or iPad is ready to connect to the live sessions?
You can check if your system can use the Bizzabo Virtual Experience with this Quick Tech Check. Chrome, Firefox, and Edge are preferred while Safari and Internet Explorer is not supported. For other common technical issues, you can refer to the TroubleShooting Guide.
➤ Where do I watch sessions?
Watch the sessions live on the agenda at their respective times. Live sessions will be listed at the top of the agenda with a Join Now button which will take you right to the stream.
If you arrive before a session starts, just wait in the session until the start time. You will see at the bottom of each session a countdown ticker letting you know when the session will start. The screen will automatically start streaming the content once the session has gone live.
➤ How do I know if i'm logged in?
To login please use the Log In button located on the top right of your screen. You will be prompted to verify your registration using your email or email and ticket number (found in your confirmation email). If you have not received your confirmation email, please contact us at 617-247-0700 for live assistance or email conference@ceres.org to verify your registration details.
➤ The stream stopped mid-session. What do I do?
As sessions end, please navigate back to our agenda and click Join on the next session. Our live stream flows throughout the session but for optimal viewing experience and to use the correct Q&A, please go back to the Agenda as we transition from one session to the next and click Join Now on the next scheduled session.
➤ My computer is freezing and the live stream is skipping
This is often due to WiFi or internet bandwidth. On the video player, there is a gearshift wheel in the right bottom corner where you can adjust the video quality. Please adjust to a lower video quality to lower the internet speed needed to watch the stream.
➤ The live stream player says I am logged on multiple devices.
This is a safeguard in place to make sure people are not sharing logins. If you think this was done in error, we suggest closing all tabs or browsers on our conference website and clearing your browser cookies and/or cache, or using a different browser to log back in to view. If you use multiple windows, this will also create this issue.
➤ How do I reconnect with attendees I met during the day?
Upload a profile picture and start networking with other registrants in the virtual event community.
➤ I missed a session, are sessions recorded?
Yes, all sessions are recorded and will be available to view on-demand for our conference registrants. They will be uploaded approximately 24-48 hours after the session airs and can be viewed directly on our Conference agenda.
➤ Is there anything else I should know about using this platform?

Event FAQs
➤ I'm interested in sponsoring. Who do I talk to?
Sponsorship inquiries can be sent to Sondra Traister on the Ceres Events and Sponsorship team at straister@ceres.org.
➤ What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made by February 22, 2020 will receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. All cancellations must be received in writing via email to Hanh Pham at hpham@ceres.org. No refunds of any kind will be given for cancellation requests received after February 22, 2020. If you do not cancel by February 22, and do not access the virtual conference, you are still responsible for full payment. In no event shall Ceres be obligated to refund all or a portion of the registration fee. You can transfer registrations at no additional cost.
➤ Do you have group discounts?
Yes! A 10% group discount is available for teams of four or more participants from the same organization. Once your organization has registered four or more individuals, contact Hanh Pham at hpham@ceres.org to have the discount applied and refunds submitted accordingly. Note: NGOS, Academics, and government organizations are not eligible for this discount as those registrations are already discounted from our full-priced admission costs.
➤ What if I can't afford to attend?
We recognize that the cost to attend our annual conference can be a financial burden that prevents many from attending. In an effort to make our event more inclusive, we are offering a limited number of registration scholarships to Ceres 2021 to remove this barrier that prevents underrepresented groups from participating. Learn more about eligibility and apply for a scholarship here.
➤ I'm a member of the press, how do I register?
Members of the press should contact Sara Sciammacco, Senior Department Director, Communications and Marketing at sciammacco@ceres.org for details to register.
